Prairie Creek Fully Permitted
Fort Simpson, NT – NorZinc Ltd., owner of the proposed Prairie Creek mine in the Dehcho region of the NWT, has received the final major permit required to build the all season access road and the mine it will supply. The company plans to develop the Prairie Creek Mine in two phases. Prior to major construction on site, Phase 1 will start with the construction of an initial 170 km winter road to the Prairie Creek Mine site, planned for Q1 2020. Prior to commencing that winter road construction, NorZinc must obtain approval from both the MVLWB and Parks related to a series of updated road management plans.
