Na-Cho Nyak Dun Hosts Industry Day
Mayo, YT – In July of this summer, the Na-Cho Nyak Dun Development Corporation (NNDDC) hosted its 3rd Annual Industry Day. Intended for any businesses interested in doing, or wanting to do, business in the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun‘s traditional territory all were welcomed to participate and join in the conversation with NND citizens and other businesses and industry in the traditional territory. “A huge thanks to our sponsors: Air North, Yukon’s Airline, Chieftain Energy, Victoria Gold Corp, & Banyan Gold Corp.!” posted NNDDC on social media. The high level of support allowed for a packed agenda including children’s activities during the July 4 event. Participants had the opportunity to highlight their projects, successes, contract opportunities, jobs and partnerships. NNDDC took the opportunity to share with industry leaders what its citizens and government expect in the spirit of cooperation, truth and reconciliation and what its goals are moving forward as a First Nation promoting diverse economies. The event was well attended and meant for some busy times in Mayo, where the NNDDC is based.
